Three Are Guilty

Entering a plea of guilty before County Judge E. F. Thompson, John C. Blackman, colored, was sentenced to serve 15 days in jail and ordered to pay court costs on the charge of assault and battery against John Siler. LeRoy Nelson, colored after withdrawing his plea of not guilty, pleaded guilty to a charge of being drunk in a public place and was sentenced to serve 10 days in jail and pay court costs. Jap Sackett, on a charge filed June 21, for possession of seven pints and one quart of intoxicating liquors was sentenced to serve 30 days in jail, fined $50 and ordered to pay court costs.
