Both Bad Men and Reward on Head of one
"Third Degree" Brought Confession
The Oklahoma Leader
November 30, 1916

Sheriff Sherwood and his deputies made an important capture yesterday afternoon, when they picked up on suspicion Joe Love and Lee Nails, strangers. The two men had just disposed of a team of fine matched grey horses for a small sum and were getting ready to leave town when their actions attracted the attention of Deputy Sheriff Redman. After putting them through the 'third degree" it was found they had stolen the horses at Kellyville. Kellyville officers were notified and a deputy sheriff is here today for the men. The horses are easily worth $225. The men sold them for $40. Deputy Sheriff Huffinie of Kellyville says the men both have prison records and a reward is offered for one. This reward will go to Deputies Redman and Robinson.
