Front roll, 3rd from right, man holding his hands is John Edward Johnston, My husband's grandfather. He was elected first sheriff of Sequoyah County. Elected on Sept. 17, 1907 , Nov. 8, 1910 and again on Nov. 5 1912, three consecutive terms, and also served as sheriff during many other years. Info provided by: Elizabeth Morris
